Rooted in heritage. Guided into the future.

The story of Natura GmbH is a testament to how passion and entrepreneurial spirit can lead to lasting success. What began in the early 1990s as a small delicatessen counter has, through entrepreneurial courage, market knowledge, and a collaborative partnership with the Adriatic Group, developed into one of the leading wholesalers for Balkan products in Germany.

Today, Natura GmbH stands for reliability, quality, and a deep understanding of our customers' needs. As an established partner of the German food retail sector, we ensure that traditional Balkan products are consistently available in top quality and have a firm place in consumers’ everyday lives.

With commitment and foresight, we have successfully anchored our brands and values in one of the most important European sales markets - and continue to strengthen this position every single day.

Our story

1990

In the early 1990s, the Kahraman family founded the owner-operated delicatessen store Natura Feinkost in Schorndorf. Within a short time, the shop became a popular destination for Mediterranean and Balkan specialties. In the years that followed, the company continued to grow and eventually opened four branches in Baden-Württemberg.

2010

A major turning point came in 2010: with the founding of Natura GmbH and close cooperation with Brajlovic GmbH from Vienna – an established distribution company for the Austrian market and a member of the Adriatic Group – a new era began. This collaboration led to a strategic merger in 2012, laying the foundation for future growth.

Through the official integration into the Adriatic Group, the product range was continuously expanded and the market position of Natura GmbH in Germany was sustainably strengthened.

This integration marked the beginning of a phase of dynamic expansion: the assortment grew significantly – particularly with the entry into the preserved foods segment, which quickly became a central product focus. At the same time, the company gradually shifted its focus from indirect distribution via wholesalers to direct, more intensive market engagement, establishing the basis for further growth.

2025

Today, Natura GmbH operates from two locations: Uhingen – with over 7,500 m² of warehouse and office space – and Saarstadt, with a warehouse area of over 4,000 m². The company is considered the leading distribution partner for Balkan products in Germany. Between 2016 and 2024, its revenue quadrupled.
Despite this impressive development, the company remains true to its roots: close relationships with customers, a love for authentic products, and a deep understanding of cultural diversity shape its daily operations. With a strong team, modern structures, and a clear vision for the future, Natura GmbH is ready to write the next chapters of its success story.

1998

A decisive milestone was the move into wholesale towards the end of the 1990s - initially with a location on Olgastraße in Schorndorf. From there, the systematic development of a nationwide distribution network for Balkan products began. A defining moment was the early introduction of one of the most well-known seasonings from the Balkans to the German market.

Through collaboration with wholesalers in the ethnic market, Sedat Kahraman and his team quickly recognized the immense potential of Balkan products and laid the foundation for a successful distribution network. This set a key milestone for today’s success.

2016

2016 marked another major milestone: the entry into the mass market and, with it, the definitive breakthrough in modern food retail. Until then, Natura had already successfully established itself in the ethnic market through intensive direct distribution. From that point on, the brand also managed to gain a foothold in the mass market – the conventional retail sector.
Today, the product range includes over 600 items from more than 70 brands and suppliers – including the most renowned manufacturers from the Balkan region – and is successfully distributed both in modern retail and the ethnic market.
